Editorial Reviews

Review

The gentle color illustrations add the perfect touch to this excellent book for children of divorced or separated parents. -- Midwest Book Review, Children's Bookwatch, March 2006

Product Description

We're Having A Tuesday is the story of one child coping with her parents' divorce. As she bounces between her parents, she struggles with living between two homes. She misses simple things like her bike and her clothes. She eventually discovers that her parents' love is with her no matter where she is living.

This book beautifully illustrates a touching story and includes an interactive element kids can relate to. The timing and importance of this rare book cannot be overstated. It's a great resource for anyone touching the lives of children living the shuffled lifestyle caused by their parents' divorce.

It's perfect for kids 2-10 years of age.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book for children of divorce, May 3, 2006
If you know children of divorce this book is a must have! This book deals with the emotions that children must sort through when they are moving between mom and dad. The author has a firm grasp on the subject and has handled it with sensitivity and humor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bridging the Gap with Kids and Divorce, May 15, 2006
Who doesn't know a child who hates the back and forth between his or her parents after a divorce? We're Having a Tuesday is the perfect book to share with kids of divorce--even better, do it when the separation starts--don't wait for the final. Kids learn the positive of each of their "homes"--the end result is that they aren't as pulled or as grumpy as they go from Mom to Dad to Mom to Dad to Mom. Divorce therapists, mediators, attorneys and anyone who works with the families of divorce should keep this book in their office. Highly recommended.
