The references to technology will stimulate a future use of computers. Humorous and timely expressions from characters will hold the reader's attention. -- Leila Anderson, Retired Superintendent of Schools, Bloomington, Minnesota The Peter's Packets Series is an exciting way to stimulate the minds of young readers with an interest in computers and technology. G. L. Sheerin expertly weaves together a story using expressions and characters that today's children will relate to. -- Suzie Veldman, 2nd Grade Teacher, Buckhorn Elementary School, Valrico, Florida The author deftly interweaves three stories: that of average Peter, a cynical teen with annoyingly attentive and happy-go-lucky parents and an older cheerleader sis; mischief-maker Terry, a tech whiz just out of high school who works for his wealthy dad's company developing patches for computer viruses; and the characters of Packet World, "packets" being the little helpers that transport data throughout the Internet who only Peter can see and hear...With both humor...and real-world analogies..., Sheerin avoids alienating young readers with confusing tech jargon while injecting personality into an often-cold and geeky world. The characters are so sturdily built...and the scenes so meticulously detailed...that it's easy to imagine this very visual novel as the next Pixar film...Delightfully infectious. --Kirkus Discoveries
