An outstanding book. The artwork included in this newest volume is the best yet. I can't stop looking at it over and over. It's so great to see so much amazing fantasy art in one book. And the price is right.
My favorite is titled, "Nightmares Unhinged" by artist, Aaron Lovett, art direction by Josh Viola. - Spectacularly creepy and hauntingly beautiful.

Another great addition to the Spectrum collection. This year's entry sees drastically more traditional media artworks than the last few Spectrums. I highly recommend this book to any fantasy or art lovers.

I guess 3 out of 22 ain't bad..

I have been collecting these Spectrum books since issue #1, and the talents within these pages are truly incredible, so I gave the series 5 stars, but I truly wonder why there's always a pale, anorexic woman on EVERY SINGLE cover. I mean can we get some diversity here? There are other flavors, races, forms, hues and creatures that make up sci-fi and fantasy universes. I literally stopped buying them for a while because it was beginning to seem offensive and even sickening that only a European female was able to make every cover except for issues #11, #13 and FINALLY a diverse mixture on #17. I guess 3 out of 22 ain't bad...or is it?? I guess the idea of a Chinese astronaut or an African mermaid is just too difficult to paint or might be laughable to the publishing house, but ask yourself this....why is that?

Beautiful with a still greater variety of artwork. This is the second Spectrum done by Flesk Publishing and they are certainly upholding the traditions set out by the originators some 22 years ago. With a new jury chosen every year it is always great to see what different groups of artists collectively choose to get in and and receive awards. Everyone has their own tastes in art, one of the things that keeps it interesting, but there really is no arguing the high quality of work in Spectrum 22.
