1.0 out of 5 stars A Great Product Gone Bad, May 21, 2009
By Scroller (New Jersey) - See all my reviews
My husband and I have enjoyed the annual page-a-day "Fact or Crap" calendar for a number of years. It sits on our kitchen table and we both guess the answer and wait until the next morning to see the answer. We liked it so much that we have turned other people on to it, and they, in turn, purchased it for others.

This year, however, the calendar has been a major disappointment. First, the manufacturer took the cheap approach of having only six games per week, with a useless "score sheet" substituting for the Sunday portion. Also, the questions often are just silly or dull, and explanations of the correct answers frequently are lacking. For example, the Wednesday, May 20 question was: Fact or Crap -- "You wold find barbules on a feather." The answer was "Fact", but there was no explanation what a "barbule" is. Instead, there was a statement about the types of feathers used to create feather boas.

All I can say is -- poorly done! I have heard the same criticism from others who purchased the calendar this year (after we had given it as a gift to them in the past). The publisher has lost us as future customers unless the package for the next calendar shows that there are 355 "games" in the box and that the questions and answers are properly researched.
