A Masterpiece of Erotic Art!, December 14, 2008
An immensely talented photographer, Norbert Guthier is a German artist working out of Frankfurt. He's been a professional for almost twenty years and published his first book, Body Transfer in 1996. In this exquisite body of work he treats the female nude not as a object of lust, but as an subject of it. Beautiful women, men, and couples are captured not as players in some forced plot, but as beautiful, interesting beings caught in a single, magnificent moment. Each image within is a beautiful landscape of human drama, masterfully shot with his Sinar P2 camera. Some have called it a masterpiece.
With the acclaim of his first book firmly established, Norbert has recently released his second, Kinky & Blissful. Like its forebear, it is a photographic masterpiece filled with rich, haunting, highly erotic imagery. This is a photographer who in years to come, will be lauded for his genius in ways that few others have been.

Every now and then, we discover a book that burns it's impressions in our mind. Sometimes this is done in the form of words and sometimes this is done in the form of images. In Norbert Guthier's latest book, "kinky and blissful", he manages to find a language that is spoken through the translations of what he sees with his eyes. The way he sees looking thru his camera.
"kinky and blissful" is one of these books, burning these impressions, igniting sensations. It speaks it's language in a screaming whisper. A whisper that can be felt like a breathe on the skin as one holds the pages in their hands. Discovering, exploring.
Guthier manages to capture light in his images like I have seldom experienced before. He portrays the body with all the different emotions and sensations that we sometimes cannot put into words ourselves. We can only feel. One can feel touch, pain, softness, and ecstasy. It is almost like one can hear a shudder as it awakens through the body. He brings all of this to life when he looks through the camera and when he allows us to look through his eyes.
Guthier is a photographer that stands on a horizon of his own. He simply opens it up to one and all that discover his work and his images; to those that can discover what he says without the use of words.
Every now and then, we discover a book that burns it's impressions in our mind. This will happen to you when you hold these pages in your hands, letting your eyes discover and letting yourself feel.
"kinky and blissful" is about that something in all of us. Sometimes only what we whisper and sometimes what we scream from the inside out.
It is definitely one of the greatest books of images that have ever blessed my eyes and mind.
