5.0 out of 5 stars Good advice, great interviews, beautiful design., February 6, 1998
By A Customer
A good introduction to the subject for experienced designers new to the web. Fascinating interviews with notables in the field illuminate the principles of good design and of "information architecture," a new theory of data management now gaining currency among professional designers. Normally interviews in a book run the risk of dating the material. Having said that, however, I think it works very well here.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good introduction for beginners, June 7, 1999
Michael Baumgardt delivers a quite good introduction in designing graphical user interfaces on the web. Although he is only scratching the surface in some chapters (esp. CSS & JavaScript), the interviews with leading webdesigners make the book worth to buy.
