5.0 out of 5 stars An absolutely magnificent guide to herbal medicine!, January 23, 1999
By A Customer
I am completely enthralled by this wonderful volume. Rational Phytotherapy discusses general information about the pharmaceutical aspects of phytotherapy, and specific information about the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodymic effects of herbal medicines. There are references galore, although relatively few, as Dr. Tyler points out, are listed in Medline; many are from the German literature. Any health care professional who is just starting to learn about herbal medicines, either for personal interest, or to assist interested patients, must have this book. (I only wish I could use underlining, italics, sound, etc. to convey how helpful this book has already been to me.) I wish I could give it a zillion stars!
