4.0 out of 5 stars Truly a blast from my past!, March 26, 2000
By A Customer
When I saw a Gerald McBoing Boing book for sale on Amazon.com I hoped against hope that they would also have the cartoon that I remembered from my youth. They did! I hadn't realized that the cartoon I remembered so fondly had originally been a book, written by none other than Dr. Seuss himself and that the cartoon had won an Academy Award. All I remembered was the sweet boy who couldn't speak words but when he opened his mouth every sound effect or symphonic instrument came out! The cartoon itself has a sophisticated, Calder-esque look to it and I look forward to sharing this with my brothers and sisters and with my daughter and nieces and nephews so that another generation can enjoy it!
