5.0 out of 5 stars Marilyn: The Last Word, August 2, 2001
By A Customer
I found this dramatization interesting as well as informative. Of course, the title and story brings "conspiratorialist" overtones on Monroe's last week of her life. The film also features some friends of Monroe's who were also interviewed and spoke narratively about the trysts Monroe had with the then U.S. Attorney General, (Robert Kennedy). There were also interviews of other persons who spoke about the star's daily activities, giving this a higher level of credibility. For Marilyn Monroe's fans, the film also gave you a nice glimpse inside of her Brentwood home (the actual one!). Marilyn: The Last Word, gives the viewer the other side of what probably may have actually happened to the star. It doesn't make any excuses for certain important people that Monroe came in contact with. It shows of the affairs that the star engaged with. It also dramatizes her final day on how she was murdered. Though some may find this dramatization speculative in context, I found this to be an interesting overview of what may have actually transpired during Monroe's final days; it should be considered a "must" have for any Monroe collector or fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars The documentary that dares to tell all..., January 4, 2002
By A Customer
This documentary will expose the truth about how Marilyn Monroe died. It places Robert kennedy and Peter Lawford at Marilyn's house on August 04, 1962, as the wiretappers listen into a heating argument between Robert Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe. Robert Kennedy and Peter Lawford leave a unconscious Marilyn lying in bed, the Mob steps in to adminster the barbiturates and execute Marilyn Monroe thus accomplishing the perfect crime or so they thought. This documentary is hosted from Marilyn Monroe's house, with re-enactments, it also has a high state of credibility because of important key witnesses. This documentary also backup other documentaries that I have seen of Marilyn Monroe, that you suspect that it has to be true. So I hope that her death will be further investigated and that important documents are released from the government that the FBI, CIA, Key Witnesses and probably the Mob has on her. The only thing that could dig even deeper to find out the truth of Marilyn Monroe's death is if the papers that Lawrence X. Cusack Jr. found in connecticut about John F. Kennedy & Marilyn Monroe are accepted as fact and not as a forge. Their just have to be someone with information or a tape of what really happen to Miss Monroe. I'm her biggest fan I wish I could had met her. This documentary opened my eyes on how the world really works, like Marilyn said this world can be a lonely and cold place, she has inspired me to be a better person. Happy Birthday Marilyn Monroe, Norma Jean Baker, I will always keep you in my heart. Overall the best documented documentary of the Century period....
