A light and gentle workout designed for all ages and body types. FRESH START! is a low-intensity, yet energizing exercise routine with simple moves that are easy to follow. It does not contain any floor work or jumping moves that could injure your joints. Also included are safety tips and exercise advice. The exercise routine can be performed standing or seated. Fresh Start! is a full-body workout that begins with a gentle warm-up to help prevent injuries that could be caused by cold and tight muscles and ligaments. The next segment is for toning your lower-body and consists of movements that will develop strength and balance. Upper-body strengthening exercises are next in our goal to developing balanced strength. The cool-down will stretch your muscles that have been warmed by exercise and increase their range of motion. As we age, we lose flexibility. One way to delay or even reverse this loss is to stretch your muscles when they are warm and supple. This is also good for the ligaments since they too shorten and become susceptible to injury over the years.
