To the longtime die-hard NFL fan, this series will open the door to many debates. To a younger fan, it will provide a perspective on past greatness, by which future greatness will be measured. It is packed with wonderful clips, sound bites, and humorous anecdotes told by the players, putting a human element into an otherwise violent game. The major flaw is the tilt toward the offensive stars. Defensive greats such as Dick Butkus, Ray Nitschke, Sam Huff, "Mean" Joe Greene, David "Deacon" Jones, Jack Lambert, Jack Tatum, and dozens of others are ignored. And arguably the NFL's greatest offensive player ever, Jim Brown, is left out entirely. Still, this is solid entertainment, packed with information that all fans will enjoy.
