Intermediate aerobic-dance enthusiasts will have lots of fun with this workout from
Jane Fonda's Personal Trainer Series. In the first half, three of Fonda's instructors (Jane is nowhere to be seen) lead an upbeat 25-minute aerobic workout, full of constantly changing dance moves. The instructors are engaging and clear, and class members demonstrate lighter intensity and higher intensity variations. If you're not coordinated or experienced with aerobic dance, you might be frustrated by the moves changing before you get them. If you are used to aerobic dance, and coordination is your middle name, you'll love the variety of this workout.
The second half of the video is a 20-minute stretch--"a deep, total-body, head-to-toe stretch-out"--led by Fonda herself. She addresses exercise fanatics who would rather do more cardio than stretch: "One of the nice things about being older is that you gain perspective. You learn there's a middle way between the extremes, and that's what to aim for." She leads a languid, relaxing stretch sequence, advising you to modify for your personal flexibility level.
