5.0 out of 5 stars A great event, July 4, 2005
A Kid's Review
Im 15 years old and have been watching wrestling for so many years and I was going through my closet the other day and found this tape and popped it in and let me tell you, great event. Maybe the greatest wrestling event of all time. The hostile takeover storyline was just awesome and got the announcers all worried and could hardly talk about the matches going on.

Who was the third man???

Rey vs. Psicosis
This match started out slow but picked up. Some great hurricanranas and other luchadore moves made this an awesome opener. The finish will leave you breathless 9/10

Big John Tenta vs. Big Bubba(RIP)-This was a "silver dollars" on a pole match. It was ok, but coming after the luchadore match was a bad move and made the crowd dead. 5/10

Ddp vs. Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Pretty good contest. It was short but that was good because these guys could not go that long with there styles. Hacksaw was very over. 7/10

Nasty Boys sv. Public Enemy-Even though im what you call a "smark" I still dont know to much about Public Enemy. This match was cool but sord of a lame finish In my opinion 6/10

Dean Malenko vs. Disco Inferno for the CW title- I remember watching this video when I was 8 and hitting the fast forward button. Now I watch this match and think its awesome. Disco is one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time and Dean Malenko can be overrated at times but I liked this match 8/10

Steve McMichael vs. Joe Gomez- Joe of course is a jobber and was just fed to the ex nfl star. I thought this match was good because Joe got hits in and wasnt made to be a pussy. 7/10

Oh, something funny after the match, I think it was Tony who said "A good win for Steve who has a long and great career ahead of him" HAHA, if they only knew...

Ric Flair vs. Konnan for the united states belt- Ya know, Hogan could learn something from Flair about going down to mid card. This match was good with a good heel finish 7/10

The Giant and Kevin Sullivan vs. Arn Anderson and Chris Benoit. The crowd at this event was wierd, last match they were more on Flairs side who is Horsmen and this match for the Giant/Sullivan. I thought G/S were the bad guys back in those days? Well good match but when the Giant FINALY comes in hes only in for a 2 minutes before the finish happened 8/10

And finally, the "Hostile Takeover" match.

Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and ? vs. Sting, Macho Man and Lex Luger- Early on in the match Luger gets taken out when Sting stinger spalshes him when Nash is on him. I have a feeling many thought back then that Luger was the third man. The match was good, had its slow parts but overall good. Hogan being the 3rd man was just a shock to the wrestling world. 9/10

Announcing- Well it was Tony Schivane, Bobby Heenen, Dusty Rhodes and for a few matches Mike Tenay. Bobby and Dusty carried the team with there hilarious talk 8/10

Interviews/backstage stuff- It was all done by Mean Gene Okerlund and hes hilarious. He said a few times that he was afraid of the outsiders because he had a string of layers and he just said things that made me laugh. One of hte high points of htis great tape 9/10

The tape gets in 83% and at $6, its a must have.

2.0 out of 5 stars WCW Bash at the Beach 1996 Review, July 22, 2001
A Kid's Review
This event is the birthplace of the New World Order, and also where Hulk Hogan turned his back on all the little "Hulkamaniacs" out there. I loved it! Well, the undercard left something to be desired. I mean, they couldn't come up with anything better than Ray Traylor vs. John Tenta in a "Silver Dollar on a Pole" match? For all the people looking for the best deal, do not buy this video from Amazon. You can get this video from Hastings for $13. Although I must warn you, if you're one of those "fans" that can't stand a slow-paced match, then you shouldn't even watch this video. Nowadays, many people call themselves fans but have the nerve to chant "boring!" when the match isn't going 100 miles an hour. So please, if you're one of those fans, then don't waste your money. But for all the real fans out there, this is a decent video. This video is recommended, but not highly.
