If you haven't caught the Red Green wave yet, you can't imagine what you're missing. Showcasing the confused, bumbling male ego is Red's specialty, and with a little help from his brothers in the Possum Lodge, he's developed the greatest all-purpose excuse for it all: "We can't help it--we're men!" Whether he's in the workshop trying (and failing) to get his table saw to work, outside with his nephew Harold trying (and failing) to enjoy nature, or just sitting around the lodge trying (and failing) to understand women, Red's soft-spoken humor has a rustic, low-brow charm. Like a Canadian cross between Will Rogers and the Three Stooges, he turns his faults into jokes and we find ourselves laughing along, even though half of us are laughing at ourselves, too. If the best you can do when asked, "What do women want?" is answer, "A new VCR," then it's time for you to join the Possums and learn to live with it. As Red says: "We're all in the same boat--and women are on the shore laughing." --Rob Lightner

From the Back Cover

Okay, so you got a problem in that your anniversary - which you seem to recall is coming up, it's gone by. It was yesterday and you pulled a complete blank. Total amnesia. So you need help digging your way out of this 'cause you are now in the deep stuff. The main thing is, don't blame yourself. It's not your fault. WE CAN'T HELP IT - WE'RE MEN! A lot's been written about the differences between men and women, in fact, way too much. That's why I've decided to tackle the subject on video. With help from the men of Possum Lodge (and also from my nephew Harold), I'd like to lead us to a better understanding between the various sexes. Remember, we're all in the same boat - and women are on the shore, laughing. Red Green

5.0 out of 5 stars Great to watch with friends over!, April 4, 1999
These guys are really funny! They make Tim Allen look like Mr. Rodgers. If your a handyman, you have to see this, but be ready to cringe at the way Red treats "tool safety". Their comments on "what women want" shows just how alot of us guys think (or don't think). The girls will get a laugh out of this for sure; and they'll give you something to think about.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Gift I EVER Gave My Husband!, July 11, 2000
By A Customer
My husband is a Red Green Nut! (so are my two sons!) Naturally I had to get this video as a birthday present figuring he'd get a lot of laughs out of it. I wasn't prepared for the hooting and hollering. I even laughed at this one (and ladies if you don't understand Red Green, it's ok your guy/guys will). This is definitely a great spoof on the miscommunications between the sexes as well as a slam at "handymen". I am particularly fond of what Red does with duct tape. (My dad really fixes things the same way!) Be sure to check out the other Red Green merchandise, I've had great success with all his videos and books as gifts to the men in my life!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good, clean fun, October 22, 2002
By Dorothy E. Roberts (Middle of Nowhere, Kansas) - See all my reviews
My family of six (ranging in ages from 5 to 52) loves this video. The combination of word play, physical comedy, handyman hilarity, and dry humor is irresistable. If this tape doesn't make your family and friends laugh out loud, check for a pulse. Long Live Uncle Red!
