Tesla is the father of the radio and the modern electrical transmission system. Tesla registered over 700 patents worldwide. His vision included power from the sea, exploration of solar energy, the discovery of cosmic radio waves, and the use of the ionosphere for scientific purposes.

He foresaw interplanetary communications and satellites.

Nikola Tesla has not been given his place in the history books. However, with the video "The Genius Who Lit The World" he is getting the credit which he deserves. Tesla is the inventor of alternating current, which is in use today (not Edison's direct current which reached only the few rich). The video is a true documentary covering his many contributions to the world, such as his 2 phase poly motor as well as his inventions of flurescence and robotics. As a neighbor of his Shoreham, Long Island 1901 laboratory, I have a deep respect for him. I have had the pleasure of interviewing several people who have met Mr. Tesla and have written articles for a local newspaper. I am a Board Trustee of the Friends of Long Island Wireless History. It is our aim to establish a museum about Long Island's wonderful wireless history. This video will whet your appetitie to learn more about this genius.

US Government! He's weather modification
inplements are being used by the Feds as
we speak (and not just in H.A.A.R.P. in

After initally getting this film on VHS, I was recently lucky enough to find it on DVD. While not as polished as PBS' excellent Tesla - Master Of Lightning (90 min), this is an informative addition to anyone's collection. Watch this program (and/or the PBS documentary) and then look around your house. You'll be amazed at how much this underrated inventor touches our everyday lives. Though a little rough in it's editing and presentation (as well as being only 42 minutes long instead of the posted hour), this DVD is a must have for all Tesla enthusiasts (especially in light of the unavailablity of the PBS special on DVD). It's also an excellent primer to help shine the spotlight of recognition on this unheralded genius. Watch and be amazed.
