1.0 out of 5 stars lowest of the series, July 12, 1999
By A Customer
what is this?!? some characters with lame acting that you could never care about, forgettable dialouge and scenes, and so forth. too talky.romero should have quit after dawn ( which is easliy the best).ya, a lil more gory but that aint to the last fifteen mins or so. complety pointless, dry, and the least of all romeros films. if it werent for the last fifteen minutes this movie would be a waste and a shame. possibly one of the stupidest movies ever made.

4.0 out of 5 stars Abandon all hope those who enter here., August 11, 2002
By Erik Pack (Winter Haven, FL USA) - See all my reviews
Not as good as the other two, but still a great movie. At the end of the 2nd film we feel that humankind will still triumph over the zombies. By this film however, it is clear that the zombies hugely outnumber us. The group this time is holed up in an old missile silo. The group consists of scientists, doctors, military men, and helicopter pilots. The scientists still think there is a way too beat the zombies, but the military men see force as an only option. In the other films we cared for the characthers, but this time around it is not so. Many horror movies only place charachters in the film just too be killed off, so we don't really have enough time to get attached. But I believe the director purposely makes these charachters unlikable. They are not all bad, mind you, but most of them are too self-serving to garnish our sympathy. It's like the director is showing us a mirror of the human race, and we don't like what we see. The zombies are flesheaters, sure, but man is worse...for he is destructive. By the end of the film we know the zombies will win. But the director poses the point...Is the human race worth saving?
