ENTERTAINING THE HYACINTH WAY
Episodes:
Riparian Entertainment - A country drive sets Hyacinth off planning a riverside picnic. But that's not enough; it must be a "waterside supper with riparian entertainments." And entertaining it is indeed when they are forced to take to boats, and deal with lock keepers and a dredging machine in precisely the wrong spot.
Half A Camel - All Hyacinth wants is to have Mrs. Henderson over for tea so she can convince her that Richard would be an asset to her company. But when sister Rose arranges to meet a new boyfriend at Hyacinth's house, tea turns to disaster. For the boyfriend brings a dog as big as half a camel - which refuses to move from Hyacinth's driveway!
Indoor/Outdoor Luxury Barbeque And Finger Buffet - Keeping up with the Barker-Finches, who've achieved local fame hosting barbeques, has become one of Hyacinth's greatest desires. Desperate to surpass them, Hyacinth plans a super barbeque, complete with her own "celebrity." Husband Richard, however, is less than keen about the whole idea.
ANGEL GABRIEL BLUE
Episodes:
Angel Gabriel Blue (Special One-Hour Episode) - Hyacinth is planning to renovate her kitchen. Angel Gabriel Blue or Licifer Gray? The Vicar will have to advise her on the color. Meanwhile, her husband Richard has itchy toes. Hyacinth is sure it can't be fungus - that's too uncivilized. It must be gout, a foot disorder that afflicts only people of the upper class.
Hyacinth Is Alarmed - It's not true love that's setting off bells in the Bucket household. Hyacinth's husband has forgotten their anniversary. Fortunately, news of a neighborhood burglary gives him a great gift idea - a security system. But Hyacinth's romantic notion to program it with the year of their wedding could have alarming consequences.
RURAL RETREAT
Episodes:
Rural Retreat - Hyacinth decides it's time to bring a little civilization to a rural corner. Dragging Richard to country estate agents, she demands "charm, tranquility, and an exclusive postcode." Honeysuckle Cottage sounds ideal, but Hyacinth hasn't reckoned with animals without a sense of decorum.
Let There Be Light - Daddy's finally lost his marbles and is reliving wartime exploits in the Church Hall. Meanwhile, Richard, reluctantly tampering with the electricity, is about to start the bring and buy with a bang. With Rose and Daisy chasing daddy around the hall, how is Hyacinth supposed to welcome the Drummonds from the Grange in an appropriate manner?
Please Mind Your Head - Hyacinth has found her country mansion, even if they can only afford the attic rooms. "It's not small," she admonishes Richard, "it's old world bijou". A tea and cucumber sandwich party is obviously the right way to entertain, but if all the guests arrive at once - they're going to need a shoe-horn to get them out again!
SEA FEVER
Episodes:
Sea Fever - Climb aboard the QE2 for one of the most hilarious sea-going adventures ever! Hyacinth is taking an ocean cruise. She's brought so many clothes, she needs a steamer, not a steamer trunk, to hold it all! But Hyacinth soon makes a discovery that mortifies her social climbing sensibilities. Meanwhile, an unforgettable experience is had by all aboard. As one fellow passenger observes, "She taught me how to appreciate air travel."
Hyacinth Tees Off - Hyacinth has always prided herself on her social skills - after all, that is how ones' breeding is judged. How she demonstrates how to win friends and influence people, while positioning husband Richard for a career at the pinnacle of the frozen food industry. Now ll Richard needs is Hyacinth's permission to be forceful and decisive. While Hyacinth plots, the frozen food king himself is on the golf course, unaware.
