About the Author
Georges Nzongola-Ntalaja is a Ph.D. in political science (University of Wisconsin-Madison), the Director of the Oslo Governance Centre of the United Nations Development Program and Professor Emeritus of African Studies at Howard University in Washington, DC. He was born in the former Belgian Congo and has written extensively on politics and nation building in Africa. His major work is "The Congo from Leopold to Kabila: A People's History" (2002).
