About the Author

Ha Mai is a Vietnamese trained chef. She opened her own restaurant, Mai Vietnamese Cuisine, in Singapore in 2001, and the restaurant has since gained a reputation for serving up the best Vietnamese beef noodles in the country. It was awarded the Excellent Food Award in 2002 by Food & Entertainment and the Gold Medal for Singapore Gourmet Hunt 2002.

Today, the restaurant has more than 100 items on its menu, and it is a favourite eating venue among the Vietnamese living in Singapore. Ha Mai has appeared on various cooking shows on Singapore TV, on both Channel 8 and Channel U. She has also been interviewed on NewsRadio 93.8FM and Love 97.2 FM, and on the American radio station, Radio Free Asia.
