5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Soundtrack With Lots of Variety, July 5, 2000
By A Customer
When I first bought this soundtrack I was not really sure what to expect. Generally, soundtracks tend to have a lot of made for radio filler that does not have much to keep a listener coming back to the album. This is not so with the High School High Soundtrack. Every song seems as if it could have easily made the cut on the artists' own albums. The tracks have a certain underground edge to them while still maintaining mainstream tastes. My personal favorites are the Pete Rock & Large Professor song, the Inspectah Deck & U-God song, and the A Tribe Called Quest track. I am not quite as elated with some of the R&B songs but I'm sure that they will suit most people just fine. There are no tracks that I honestly say that I dislike; although I was slightly dissapointed with the De La Soul song (I think they are capable of much better material). If you want a compilation of quality material that can be listened to straight through with minimal use of the fast forward button, then the High School High Soundtrack is a great addition to your collection.

3.0 out of 5 stars A few good songs..., November 12, 2009
Most of this album features hard-core rap songs, but some good R/B. Stand outs are "So Man Ways," "I Got Somebody Else," "Your Precious Love," and the Root's haunting cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody." And of course, we all know "Cmon Ride The Train," which is a fun song. :)

This CD is good for people looking for old school 90's rap.
