For anyone who has enjoyed - Laurindo Almeida's music this CD is a 'must have'. The Laurindo Almeida Trio's renditions of such favorites as "Always on My Mind" (Elvis) and "Up Where We Belong" (Joe Cocker - Top Gun) show such interpretation and originality that there are few artists that can match them. You'll recognise the tune, but the Jazz beat, and classical / jazz guitar work by Almeida is so brilliant that the music surprises you each time you hear it. As background music its the perfect "dinner party" album, but most of all its music that you can enjoy and listen to over and over again.
