This biographical film of groundbreaking comic Lenny Bruce, portrayed by Dustin Hoffman, covers Bruce's controversial career and resulting struggles with the law. The soundtrack reflects the small jazz clubs where Bruce was forced to play when he wasn't welcome in traditional comedy clubs and features soulful jazz and swing tracks that include a standout Miles Davis piece, "It Never Entered My Mind." Bob Fosse directed this film which co-starred Valerie Perrine, who earned a Best Actress Academy Award® nomination for her role.
