5.0 out of 5 stars This album is amazing., April 21, 2005
There are a few copies floating around the US, but not many I just happen to find one in a used cd store . Trail of Tears will forever be one of my all time favorites.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid Metal Thrash!, February 20, 1999
By Joshua Dearborn (Woodside, NY) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
When I first picked up this CD, I was expecting to hear something similar to At the Gates, and if you like At the Gates (like I do!), you will NOT be sorry with Gates of Ishtar! From the first track you know that this band has a lot to offer, mixing guitar riffs with piano and varying their timing, which is most noticable in "Dawn of Flames". Though they don't quite reach the intensity level of At the Gates or Dark Tranquillity, this is a must have for fans of the Swedish/German metal scene!

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME FAST DEATH/BLACK METAL , April 21, 2006
Brilliant!
Fast, yet agressive death metal with awesome agressive, yet melodic guitars.
This is in vein of At The Gates and Dark Tranquility, however I found those guys a bit more agressive and brutal.
For death metal fans this is pleasurable listening experience. And good running music.
Also their debut Seasons of Frost is brutal too.
