5.0 out of 5 stars The Meices Are Gone, But Not Forgetten!!!, July 31, 2002
By Ryan Estep (Portland, OR) - See all my reviews
An Amazing album!!! I became a Meices fan due to the lead singer (Joe) and his new band, Alien Crime Syndicate. I first saw ACS at a small club in Portland in 1999, and became a huge fan instantly. After learning of Joe's old band, The Meices, and having heard some of their stuff sort of inadvertantly, I bought Dirty Bird and was amazed at how good this album was. Why they did not get more press and publicity when they were around I don't know. It is some of the best pop-punk/rock I have ever heard. Definitely buy this album. If you like the Meices, be sure to check out ACS as well, they have a similar style as the Meices, and are one of the best bands I have ever seen live.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Meices Rock, March 7, 1999
By A Customer
I just recently heard The Meices and they are the typical band that don't get the publicity that they deserve. Most people have never even heard of them but I assure you that if you just give them a try, you will like what you here. All of their tracks are really good. If you like stuff like MXPX and Homegrown, I am sure that you would enjoy them. COME ON, GIVE EM A TRY!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars found it by accident, kept it for a reason, April 4, 2002
By A Customer
I was at a club one night and managed to win my choice of a CD from a collection of Demos that were on hand. Since I had never heard of any of the groups I just picked one at random. Dirty Bird has been one of my favorite albums ever since that summer day '96. The songs have a raw edge that is all too often lacking now days. These guys play hard and from the start. The first track, Wow, is a great way to start this collection of songs and it keeps going from there on out. I had no idea what I was getting when I grabbed this album out of the stack but I'm damn glad I did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh....Dude...Seriously
Excellent grungy angst/tongue in cheek music. The first track, "Wow" is alone worth the price of admission. I mean, seriously....dude...seriously...get this one.
