Nine of "Passion's" 17 tracks were produced by Saw, and she more than fulfills an ambitious program, tackling everything from polka oompah to operatic scale-ascension. For "Gal No Worry," she switches between tough, witty raps and lustily sung choruses over the cheesily appealing melody line from Dean Martin's "Amore." In "I Don't Need to Know," she works that velvet alto, swooning like a country & western diva, then consoling herself with a blues mama's weary cynicism. Saw and Shaggy turn in a delicious revamp of Mickey and Sylvia's archeological gem "Love Is Strange," and "Healing" reprises her recent hit with Beenie Man. Saw inspires Merciless to newfound eloquence in the hilarious "Long Til It Bend." Two more reasons to grab this one: Saw's "Sycamore Tree," recorded over producer Dave Kelly's addictive and indefatigable "joyride" riddim, and the Zion Revival-infused "Let Peace Reign," another powerful Saw social statement. --Elena Oumano

Forget Patra! Forget Shabba Ranks! Lady Saw is simply one of the best Jamaican Dancehall artist. She is raw as she want to be. Get this CD and its the perfect reggae music to chill to or even to make love to! Worth the purchase. You will be jammin' to this mon!

I have seen her in concert and she is damn good as i love all hear singles and albums i have been collecting her tune since 91 or 91 i will unitll she stops singing (hope dat never happens ) :) if you never hear her sing before then give her a try n if you have n you like hear keep showing your love for her

All the Lady's work is a must, but the Passion and Walk Out discs are two of my faves. Passion? Absolutely! She embodies raw emotion, but not like the sweaty sex she pours all over the Strip Tease disc. After an epic intro, the Lady rides the "That's Amore" riddim, which is both scary and brillant. You'll have to hear it for yourself to judge it. The duets Long Till It Bend with Merciless and Healing with Beenie Man are hard to beat. Shaggy shows up for Love is Strange. The Lady just works so well with a man to bounce her moods off of. Of course this is the disc that contains the gem, Sycamore Tree. Lover Boy is a Country Western spin with a lyrical refrain that catches you by surprise. By the way, the title track rides what can only be best described as a polka beat. Yep, the Lady has guts. And a sense of humour.
