4.0 out of 5 stars Walk Through These Evil Streets... {4 ½ Stars}, July 2, 2007
By Norfeest "Yes Yes Y'all" (Washington DC USA) - See all my reviews

Ah yes. All We Got Iz Us. When this joint came out, I was skeptical because I didn't really feel Bacdafucup like most folks did back in '93. I found their constant screaming somewhat gimmicky. Similar to Das Efx, there were a lot of cats biting their style back the early 90's. Just like cats were jacking the "iggety" from Das, cats were screaming all over their records after they saw how many units Onyx moved on their debut. When I first heard "Last Dayz" I was hyped up because they weren't yelling and they still came off crazy hard. I copped every single from this album as well as the entire album on vinyl and CD. The production is what I love most about this album. Surprisingly, the entire album is produced by Fredro himself (Sticky produces one track). That shocked me because I didn't even know he made beats and these beats are super dope.

There aren't many flaws because the album, despite a distinctly east coast/early 90's sound, has matured very well over the years. If anything, there are moments when the members of Onyx regress into their gimmicky screams, but it's totally tolerable because the production is better than it was on their debut and all three members rip their verses.

All We Got Iz Us is still the best Onyx release out there. They are still puttin' in work on the independent level, but they haven't come close to topping this album 13 years after its release. Like one reviewer said already, there's no filler, no fluff, and no radio friendly singles. It's just Onyx ripping track after grimy track. If you like your rap hard or if you dig that early 90's east coast style then I highly recommend adding this CD to your music library.

Standout Tracks: Purse Snatchaz, Live Nig*z, Last Dayz (My Favorite), All We Got Iz Us (Evil Streets), Punkmotherf*kaz

5.0 out of 5 stars All We got Iz us, August 4, 2004
This album has to be in the top 25 of greatest rap cd's ever. In my opinion BACDAFUCUP by onyx is in the top 5. All We got iz us is the grimiest of the 3 real onyx cd's (disincluding triggernometry and bacdafucup 2). It has sick and dark beats and a lot more reference to death. The most popular song is problably Last Dayz, if you've seen 8 mile the beat is used during a freestyle. Shout is a classic loud onyx screaming song which is nicely done. Betta off dead is probably the worst song on the album just cause of the beat which is just the word "onyx" turned into a beat. Live Niguz is my favorite song on the album. Then everything from Most Def to Walk in New York are AWESOME. Lots of people forgot about Onyx cause of all the bitchass rappers now a day who cant even flow, so pick up some onyx

5.0 out of 5 stars Beyond Grimey, July 2, 2006
This is true Onyx - about as grimey and street as you can get from beginning to end - absolute perfection in my opinion from some of the realest and most authentic artists to this date. Standout tracks include the Bob James sampled Last Dayz, title track All We Got Iz Us, and the classic Live Niguz - which also appeared on The Show soundtrack.
