5.0 out of 5 stars Originally Released On Vinyl On Swan Song!, May 22, 2001
Welsh guitar god Dave Edmunds' career really kicked into high gear with "Get It," a near perfect blend of rockabilly, swing, blues, rock and roll, and guitar, guitar, guitar... Essentially the first Rockpile album (as were most of Edmunds' and Nick Lowe's early solo efforts), Edmunds really set a high standard for himself with revved up renditions of Bob Seger's "Get Out Of Denver," the original version of "I Knew The Bride", and R&B chestnut "Juju Man." Slap this disc on for an instant party and see for yourself why Led Zeppelin thought so highly of Edmunds that they signed him to their fledgling Swan Song label. Probably the closest Edmunds has ever gotten to recreating the spirit and feel of his live show, "Get It" is a delight.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Damned rockabilly guitarist alive next to Chucky B., October 28, 1998
By A Customer
This man doesn't play the blues much, but he has paid his dues. Dave Edmunds is one of the premiere rock guitarists in the classic style. If you like masters like Brian Setzer or George Thoughrogood...you will love this music. Get It has three of the most awsome rockers ever made. I Knew the Bride, JuJu Man, and Get out of Denver. Simply the best.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy this CD!!, September 26, 2002
By Greg (Apex, NC United States) - See all my reviews
I once read a review of a Dave Edmunds album where a critic said that one day Edmunds would release a truly great rock and roll album. The critic obviously had never listened to Get It. An absolutely smoking album. The cover of Bob Seegar's "Get out of Denver" may be the fastest paced song ever recorded. Plus a cover of the Sinatra tune "Where or When." From start to finish, a great work.
