Biography

Bobby Womack first came to prominence in the in the 1950s as part of The Womack Brothers, a gospel group that was comprised of siblings Cecil, Harry, Curtis and Friendly. Impressed with the group, Sam Cooke encouraged them to come to Los Angeles where he signed them to his SAR label. I have listened to this album since 1973. It is now 2005 and it is still in my top 5 of all time fave CD's or album's ever. It is a must have in anyone's music collection.

In one word MELLOW! Bobby lays one on you here. Great acoustic guitar and singing in versitile styles. From "Facts of Life" to "All Along the Watchtower", Womac is in total control!

WOMACK IS COOKIN' WITH FIRE, AND EVERYDISH TASTES EXCELLENT, ONE STANDOUT YET OVERLOOKED TRACK IS # 6 Medley: Fact of Life/He'll Be There When the Sun Goes Down, IT KEEPS IT ALL THE WAY REAL, THIS TRACK IS THE REASON I FELL IN LOVE WITH BOBBY WOMACK
