This is not only the group's best album, but one of the greatest pop albums of all time. For those of you who were in junior high or high school when this album came out, this is a must own CD. Songs like "Heart of Rock and Roll," "If This is It," and "I Want a New Drug" will bring back many memories and are every bit as fun to listen to now as they were back then.

Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

Huey Lewis and The News are really the Heart of Rock and Roll. If you listen "Sports" you can discover simple lyrics that say a lot of things, music that is easy to listen and pure Rock and Roll.
I can listen "Sports" every day since I bought it almost 15 years ago.
If you don't have it, don't waste time and sing: "I want a New Drug"
