5.0 out of 5 stars Check the FULL title, March 15, 2003
By Michael Heumann (El Centro, CA USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The full title is "Dub Gone Crazy: The Evolution of Dub at King Tubby's." That "at" is key: most of these tracks are NOT King Tubby remixes, but remixes done at his studio by his proteges Prince (later King) Jammy, Scientist, and Philip Smart. The general absence of Tubby himself does not mean that this disk is not exceptional--it is. But if you're looking for TUBBY DUBS, you might want to look elsewhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good overview, May 14, 2000
By Benjah (Chicago) - See all my reviews
As with many of the Blood and Fire releases, this is a good look at some of the work of King Tubby and his studio band the Aggrovators. Many of these tracks are clssic dub versions from original songs sung by Johnny Clarke, Livinal Thomson and others. A good starting place if you don't know the amazing work of King Tubby and the Aggrovators.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great introduction to Dub
The late King Tubby is the lengendary Dub mixer that revolutionized the genre of reggae. Every track is solid. If you love rootsy reggae this is a nice choice.
