What in th'...!?, March 8, 2003
By A Customer
When I first heard this CD, I wanted to ask myself, what kind of gun did they put on the head of the person who green lit this band and how much money did they actually spend on it...but...you grow to seriously love this band. I personally gave this band a second chance when I ordered "Ego" and then, I was hooked, I just recently ordered "Unrein", and in the near future, I'm getting Plastik and whichever ones I want, you gotta check this band out, but buyer beware, this band does 'NOT' stick with the same genre of music each CD. This CD is more Industrial sounds then heavy rock, over the years "Oomph!" has progressively gotten more and more into the rock/metal stream, but the mix of Vox and Sounds make a pleasent sound with the vocals, so check out some of the later stuff, and if you want to be a little daring, check this one out later on.

Great electronic Noise!!!, July 22, 2000
For those who knows Oomph! as a band with a noisy guitar sound this CD will sound very strange, because it is only electronic noise, without any guitars, but it is really an experience! It is the first CD they had produced and it is a great debut. My favorite songs are "Mein Herz", "Der neue Gott" and "Ich bin Du". All songs are cult! It is pure electronic noise, hard, loud and very exciting.

Great Industrial Sound!, June 23, 2009
I was first introduced to this band by listening to a DJ before a Fixmer/McCarthy show. He was playing a lot of industrial, all of which I recognized except for this band. I ordered this disc as soon as I could and have been playing it as much as I can. It is the first cd by Oomph! and probably my favorite so far. It is mostly electronic with a few guitars mixed in, but they fit with the music. They sound a lot like Nitzer Ebb or early Orange Sector at this point in their careers. They slowly turn more metal and less electronic after this cd, but this disc is awesome! Very upbeat industrial, gruf Douglas McCarthy kind of vocals with english/german split lyrics. If you like Nitzer Ebb, Orange Sector, Ionic Vision, Spetsnaz, Proceed, Kommando xy, NIN's pretty hate machine,Fixmer/McCarthy or early 90's Die Krupps, you'll love this DISC !
