It has always amazed me how the USA (the birthplace of so many forms of dance music) has not embraced dance/club music over the past 20 years, suggesting it has realy never gotten over the disco bubble bursting in the early eighties.
This era was awash with tacky, over-commercial and downright silly forms of Disco music. But for those willing to dig a little deeper there are many little heard treasures to be discovered!
This compilation showcases some of the finest disco recorings ever made. The grooves build and build with percussion and basslines and then explode in a flurry of strings and vocals. If you appreciate well crafted, uplifting music of any genre, take a moment to listen to any of these tracks - you won't be disappointed!
Oh yeah, volume one is even better!
