5.0 out of 5 stars classic album, August 5, 2000
By Scott (Australia) - See all my reviews
This is Suzi's first debut album its raw, it rocks, and its a great rock n roll album. After hearing the album tracks Chinn & Chinn then wrote Suzi's first single based on what they had heard, just as the singles where chart toppers the album tracks are just classic. This is the album that started it all for Suzi her raunchy leather image and good looks, laced with her ability to belt out a hard edge tunned paid off, people got to know who she was and the rest is history so they say,,, great work Suzi,,, defenately a classic album.

5.0 out of 5 stars SOME GOOD SEVENTIES SLEAZE...., October 24, 2008
I have this album on vinyl and its good. The version I have is simply called "Suzi Quatro" but the cover art and tracks are still the same. I like alot of the seventies sleazey glam stuff. This stuff is the breed of glam that falls between punk and, like, bubble gum, but its got a raw hard fast sound, a little more like early sixties garage rock. Some of these songs are rock covers from the early sixties like I WANNA BE YOUR MAN. Suzi had no prob singing these lyrics, she belts 'em hard and fast. Most of the originals were written by the team Chapman and Chinn, who also wrote alot of lyrics for the likes of Sweet and later Pat Benetar and a few other popular glam metal acts from the seventies. They had a good ear for finding the right kind of talent to perform their songs. Suzi Quatro was one of the original bad girl rockers; she was also Leather Tuscadero on Happy Days, so, nuff said. I found this album in the basement of a building I was living in a couple years back, but decided to take it with me when I left. Give it a shot if your looking for some good rockin 70's sleaze. You may consider it bubble gum sleaze, but its still good. Just listen to the beats on the track PRIMITIVE LOVE, you'll know what I'm saying...
