5.0 out of 5 stars Tradition of Celtic Roots, April 30, 2002
By Catherine M. Dorkin "willow100cm" (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Fine Thank You Very Much is a blend of traditional Strathspey's, Airs and Jigs and many other dancable tunes. With special guest star John Allan Cameron and musical genii Ashley MacIsaac, how could one not think that this was going to be a spectacular CD?
If you are looking for Hi How Are You Today? tunes with guitar licks and drums, this isn't the CD to go for. This is traditional music at its best.
Start a Ceildh or kitchen party if you want. Guarentee fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow. Fantastic., August 9, 2004
By C. Antal (Seattle, USA) - See all my reviews

It is a testament to his amazing talent that he can hold his audience's attention for the duration of an entire album with traditional music from Nova Scotia, played on a sole acoustic fiddle. He weaves together reel after reel and the energy never lets up. If you like traditional Celtic fiddle at all, this is a masterwork and an absolute must-have. Love it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Classic Irish music -- needs voices though, February 1, 2009
By A. Bubnick (Maple Valley, WA USA) - See all my reviews

I enjoy Ashley MacIsaac's fiddle; but I enjoy it more when it is put to voice too. This CD is full of purely instrumental tunes. While the tunes are good (mostly piano and violin), it would be great if I could hear the "stories" sung to me as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars This cd is awesome!
This cd is a mix of celtic music with electric guitars and drums. It is an amazing blend of the traditional and nontraditional.
