4.0 out of 5 stars Minimalist Techno Classic, October 5, 2000
By NICHOLAS A FITZ-HERBERT (Auckland New Zealand) - See all my reviews
This is a great offering of earlier techno from Robert Hood who was formerly part of the Underground Resistance Crew with Jeff Mills. The style here is somewhat similar to the Mills material with the minimalist beats creating that industrial techno feel. A great sampling of the growth of Techno for the early 90s. Seek out his later material (the Night World) for a look into his jazzier progression.

5.0 out of 5 stars futuristic, July 23, 2006
By Bobby Joe "Joe" (Puyallup, WA USA) - See all my reviews
more than anything else, practically, this album sounds futuristic. even experimental stuff doesn't match the robots-are-coming-to-kill-us sound of this classic artist. i only wish i could get a hold of a copy.

5.0 out of 5 stars I feel so bad for not knowing these guys before, June 6, 2002
Having collected many CD's in years, I feel fooled by the songs I have bought. With Detroit crew, they are the best, the most original. Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May, Jeff Mills (my favorite dj), Robert Hood, Claude Young, Dan Bell, Stacey Pullen (very very good dj), and many more of Detroit Crew, and all those who share Detroit's music, like Advent. I am very sorry for not knowing these originators before :( I am going to sell those semi-techno tunes I have collected.
