5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album...but, October 7, 2003
This has to be one of Sarah Mclachlan's best albums to date. Her voice shines on almost every song and her ability to infuse the listener with emotion and sadness comes through on such tracks as 'Mystery,' 'Angel,' and 'Full of Grace.' My only qualm is that one of her best songs, 'Prayer Of St. Francis' is only offered on this import cd, which costs twice that of a regular cd. It would be nice of Ms. Mclachlan if she would re-release a U.S. version of Surfacing with the added tracks found here on this import. Otherwise, if you want great music or are a faithful listener of Sarah Mclachlan's touching music, buy this album!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is, by far, one of the best CD's I've ever heard., February 10, 1999
By A Customer
Sarah McLachlan is one of the most talented artists I've ever come across. Her beautiful talent is wonderfully portrayed on "Surfacing," her latest LP. Her past albums are also very good and have a deep, meaningful, passionate realm to them that sets a hypnotic pulse. It's always relaxing to listen to her beautiful voice and her poetic lines of lyrics. Two of my favorite songs on "Surfacing" are: "Do what you have to do" and "Black and white." I would highly recomend this album to anyone who is looking for peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Much Better Than the Domestic Version, June 22, 2007
This is a wonderfull album. Enough people have waxed poetically about it, that I can't really add much. I will say, that this import version is so much better sounding than the domestic version. It is worth the higher price. For anyone who appreciates good sound quality, this import is the version to get. The 200g LP is still better, but this is close.

OK people, I'm very, very versed in a many different genres of music, and frankly I'm not generally not into "coffee house music" or "VH1-style songwriters". Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Surfacing... un album un peu trop correct....
On dirait que les 4 années que Sarah a passée dans l'ombre ne lui a pas été trop facile. Bon, les mélodies sont hyper accrocheuses et les textes sont bons... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars A good CD, but not quite as good as Fumbling.
On this CD, Sarah gives good performances although the music became too electronic, especially the last song. Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Sarah McLachlan is a music goddess
This c.d., as with the rest of Sarah's stuff is wonderful. Her music is beautiful and speaks to the listener in a profound way...at least that's the way I see it : )
