Classic, Completely Underrated Album, August 12, 2001
This is easily one of my favorite CD's, which is saying alot considering ive got around 300 of them. TQ posesses a completely different style from just about any other r+b singer, sounding more like a thug poet than a booty-centric ladies-man. Throughtout the entire CD, he spins tales of gun fights, gang stories and compton love stories, usually the kind of content ud expect to find on an Ice Cube CD. But TQ pulls it off masterfully. While every song is worth a listen, he most moving ones are, of course, "Westside" (one of the best r+b songs ever), "They Never Saw Me Coming", "I Get Around", "Remembermelinda", and "Bye Bye Baby". Of course, TQ brings his share of rap artists featured, with E-40 on "Gotta Make That Money", Tray-Dee on "One More Lick", Too Short on "Your Sister" and Daz & Kurupt on "The Comeback". And lastly, check out his duet w/ Ericka Yancey on "When I Get Out", a very smoothe soul-induced track, one of the few that focuses almost totally on (the overly-abundant r+b topic of) love. TQ masterfully sews together tight cali beats and soft chimes with gangster stories. And he makes them sound GOOD. This album is like nothing else you'll ever hear in r+b, not until his next album finally comes to America (I expect huge things). So enough of my yapping: BUY THIS ALBUM!If you like "They Never Saw Me Comin", check out: "City High", "Bone Thugs-N-Harmony - E. 1999 Eternal", "Musiq Soulchild - Ajuswanaseing", "Case - Open Letter"

*Absolutely Outstanding*, August 6, 2000
They Never Saw Me Coming by TQ is without a doubt the best CD I have ever heard. I listen to all kinds of music and enjoy rap, r&b, and all the usual artists like dmx, dre, eminem, tupac, etc. but nothing i have ever come across is as good as this. I originally came across this cd only because of "westside" but after falling asleep listening to this cd one night i discovered the rest of the album. this cd is a mix of everything you could ever want in music. no kidding. Some people may call TQ vulgar or explicit, but he is not out of line at all with this album, it flows so incredibly well and unlike other rappers he does not use expletives for shock value or the such. he tells things like it is and there is not a single track on this cd that i do not like. Another note: I also have his newest album "the second coming" and it is okay, but nowhere as great as this.

The "Real Westside", November 23, 1999
Tq's album is the best ever from the westside. In his album he includes a variety of hard raps and songs about the real emotional struggles of a westside player. His album is unbelieveable, it is really a great cd. He really tells you about problems, as well as the hard westside style. GO GET IT NOW<<<you'll thank me>>>
