4.0 out of 5 stars This review will self destruct in five seconds., April 16, 2005
This is the Mission: Impossible theme as rendered by the bassist and drummer from U2. There were actually two different versions recorded by the duo. "Theme From Mission: Impossible" is the opening credits theme and "Mission: Impossible Theme (Mission Accomplished)" is the closing credits theme. They both have the same melody, but have widely different arrangements. The opening credits version is the version that was a #7 hit in both the US and the UK. The CD also features three remixes, for a total of five versions of the theme. All five versions sound a lot different from each other. I always liked the Mission: Impossible theme, so naturally I enjoyed hearing these differing versions of it. Other fans of TV theme songs may enjoy it, too.
