3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but No SWORD, January 2, 2006
By T. Hafke (Iowa, USA) - See all my reviews
I bought this cd used based on the fact that it had the lead singer from sword, and guest appearances by other members of the group. I was disapointed to find out is shares nothing with sword except the singer, who you wouldn't recognise if you didn't know it was him. Sword was a power metal band. This is a sleeze/glam out put in the same vein as Skid Row, which isn't surprising, since it has tracks written by Rachel Bolan and Jon Bon Jovi. Also, Aldo Nova gets songwritting credit on almost every track, and is also listed as additional guitars.
It is a very solid album, and has some memorable songs, with standout being Wheels Of Fire(NOT the Sword song) and Frankenstein. Very good for this type of music. They probably could have made it biger in the US, but being released in 1992, grunge already had it's filthy little hands around the neck of this type of metal. If you're into sleeze/glam type rock, this is one for you, but if you are into harder things, save your money.
