Grammy nominee singer/songwriter ZaZa is an internationally inspired artist whose music and performance has great emotional depth,ranging from ultra-dramatic songs to joyful songs of celebrton.
ZaZa was born in France,raised in Persia,educated in music and stage-designing in Italy and is now residing in the United states.ZaZa has been composing,writing and performing since childhood.Daughter of Iran's foremost opera singer/recording artist Monir Vakili,she also continues the legacy her mother left as a performer of Persian folk songs.
ZaZa has travelled extensively in five continents where she has absorbed a variety of musical styles.She speaks English,French,Italian and Persian fluently and sings in all four languages as well.She calls her music 'New World Pop'with an ethnic twist.New,for new age:World ,for world sound;and Pop,for the universal pop base in her songs.To this is added a Middle Eastern flavor.What remains long after her songs are heard is a pure voice and memorable melodies.
ZaZa is a Grammy nominee and has several prestigious awards to her name.Her songs have often been used as themes for theater productions and T.V. series throughout the world.
Her latest album is titled " Book Of Kings" and is an adaptation of the epic "Shahnameh" written by the Persian poet Ferdowsi in the tenth century.
