Celtic harp music played and arranged by Jo Morrison. The majority of the tunes are traditional, with a bit of modern interpretation and rhythmic variety. There are five solo harp tracks and eleven duets and trios, performed with a number of outstanding guest musicians including Bonnie Rideout on fiddle, Sue Richards on harp, Walt Michael on Hammered Dulcimer, Paula Glendinning on Great Highland bagpipe, and Bobby Read on clarinet.

As a harpist myself I'm collecting many harp cds from many different performers, and of them all, Jo Morrison's The Three Musics stands out head and shoulders above the rest. Her mix of gentle lullabies with traditional marches and jigs, plus the addition of well chosen instruments (clarinet, cello, hammered dulcimer) to pad out the wonderful harp playing makes this a must-have recording. This is the cd that captures everything about celtic harp for me, and it has everyone smiling and tapping their feet when it gets played.
If you are new to harp music, this is a great introdution, and if you love this kind of music but somehow missed Jo's talents, its time to add this to your collection. The sheet music featuring her arrangements for many of the songs is also available for musicians to enjoy.
