5.0 out of 5 stars One of their best..., June 10, 2004
By xIn_Flamesx (Louisville) - See all my reviews
E-town Concrete have always been a band i enjoy listening to often. Great diversity, good musicianship. Powerful vocals. Technical drums that never get boring. I've noticed that people call them rap metal or rap/rock. Wrong... If anything is rap/rock, it's Linkin Park. There's no real metal in Linkin Park. E-Town Concrete are influenced mainly by the New Jersey Hardcore/Metalcore scene and hip-hop like Nas, Tupac, etc. They're one of the only bands that blend hip-hop with hardcore or metal and actually do all genres justice. E-town Concrete murder weak bands like Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit. They're also a better listen than Candiria, another band that does both genres justice. If you're into hip-hop or hardcore/metalcore at all pick this up, along with the others. If you're more of a hip-hop fan start off with their latest release "Renaissance". It's less of a metalcore feel than their earlier stuff. E-Town Concrete is truly a great listen, beautiful, emotional, and extremely powerful. Highly recommended...

peace......

5.0 out of 5 stars E-Town is takin over the world!, July 15, 1999
By A Customer
Probably the best cd I've ever owned. Surpasses any other musician with ease. Musically, the album could not have gotten any better, and with the addition of Anthony's vocals, it just escalated even more. The ONLY true hip-hop/rock blend there is. Fans of both Hardcore and Rap will love this. GET IT!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album, July 6, 1999
By A Customer
This is definitely one of the newest and phatest hardcore bands around. They mix a hip hop sound with the traditional hardcore riffs.Absolutely a pioneering album, cocentrating on lifes' harsh realities and dealing with them. Definitely 5 stars for this one.
