Product Description

Editorial Review

Your child will be rockin' and rollin' before you know it with this fun guitar. Complete with flashing lights and friendly buttons, this easy-to-use instrument makes music child's play. To start, kids can press any of the four character buttons, each with a different Sesame Street friend, to make different sounds. Press Elmo and he'll say a different phrase every time. Try the whammy bar for a little pizzazz, or strum the yellow roller to play one of three lively tunes like Shake, Rattle & Roll. Watch as the colorful lights dance in time to the music. Just like the real deal, it even has a volume control. Requires three AA batteries.

5.0 out of 5 stars For the little musician, December 2, 1999
By A Customer
Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
While my son and I were waiting for my husband to make a purchase, I saw this toy and thought my 2 yr. old son might like it since he loves music. Not only did he play with the guitar while it was in the box in the store, he wouldn't let go of it! This is a child, I might add, who is not always that interested in toys so this was a first. Needless to say, we bought the guitar for the holiday, but couldn't wait to give it to him. He LOVES it! It's great for any kid, but I'd like to point out in particular, for parents with special needs children, this is a real plus. It has different buttons to push, and one to pull, and another to move back and forth, so is good for fine motor skills. It is also good cognitively since the child can put together different sounds depending upon which character he/she touches. For a child who enjoys music, it's a real motivator.

5.0 out of 5 stars We love it!!, October 2, 2000

This toy is great. We got it for our sons first birthday. There are tons of things to do on it. There is a whammy bar that makes cool sounds, you can strum it,or it will play one of three songs, and you can push the buttons for little notes. It has been a HUGE hit. All of us like it, not just our son. I would HIGHLY recommend this fun toy. Its great for eye-hand cordination.

5.0 out of 5 stars My 18 month old loved this toy!, November 19, 1999
By A Customer
Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
I took my 18 month old with me to lay-away toys for Christmas. She picked up the guitar from a bottom shelf and just had a ball. When we went to lay away the toys I had, she was broken hearted when I took it from her to lay-away. Needless to say this toy went home that day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute Toy
My son took instantly to it but was quickly bored. The sound is not so good when you turn the volume down but other than that, it's a cute little toy.
