Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com
The rise of the Insane Clown Posse--or a group very much like them--was probably inevitable; somebody had to play the part of Howard Stern in the rap world. That it was two guys in clown makeup who rap--badly--over prerecorded tracks and spray their audiences with soda was a pure accident, brought about when their former record label dropped the act on the eve of the release of The Great Milenko. The Amazing Jeckel Brothers, their first proper follow-up album to Milenko, capitalizes on their notoriety; it features guests like the Jerky Boys and Ol' Dirty Bastard and issues challenges to MTV, Lollapalooza, and Kiss bassist Gene Simmons--whom ICP accuse of stealing their "shit" (though shtick would be a more appropriate word, and it was Simmons's in the first place). ICP stick with the formula on Jeckel Brothers that they've, um, perfected; it's not for everyone, but fans won't be disappointed. --Randy Silver

4.0 out of 5 stars The Amazing Wicked Clownz, July 27, 2003
I bought this CD just to see what are Eminem's toughest enemies were all about... And I wasn't disappointed. I ain't a juggalo (juggalos are Insane Clown Posse hardcore fans), but this CD is just fun enough for these four stars.. They aren't really worried with society problems like Eminem. They're just making fun of it all, cussing it all.

My favorite tracks are:
- F**k The World: They cuss everything.. From the the guy that operates the Rouge river draw bridge in delray on Jefferson until you.
- Assassins: The best song in here, the melody is one of the greatest ever. This track is in the Top 10 Rap Tracks for me... Lyrics are nonsense, but they fit the melody perfectly.
- Bring It On: Nothing to say, but it's a fun song, they're not talking about a particular thing here.
- I Want My S**t: This song tells one of the guys in the band is a really old guy who survived for many centuries without getting old or hurt.
- Mad Professor: The dialogues in this song are hilarious.
- The Shaggy Show: Like a talk show, featuring famous rapper Snoop Dogg!

As you see, this isn't a real rap CD. It has lots of rock melodies too.. And it's not like the rap attitude (except for cussing everything), they just make fun of society, make funny voices and ridiculous dialogues.. This CD will just make you laugh, unlike nearly all raps CDs that make you think about what they're saying. Give these guys a chance because they are good...

5.0 out of 5 stars This album is for the real juggalos!!!, October 26, 1999
By A Customer
I.C.P. isn't your everyday brand of music...it's better! What you here isn't what you always get. Hiddin behind I.C.P.'s funny lyrics is a hiddin message. A message that most people fail to listen to. I listened to one of their new songs called "Echo Side". They talk backwards and the song trips you out when your high off your ass...it's just plain wicked...
