this by far blows the roof off the bombs last album war birth.18 songs that are all very catchy and have great sing along anthems and meloides.they even covered a song joe strummer did in the clash's film rude boy called joe's tune(i doesn't have a title)great album...go get it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent punk rock., September 24, 1999
By A Customer
I agree with many that it is not nerely as good as the brilliant WAR BIRTH, but it is still a very good album. It has some great sing-along punk rock in the old skool style, but some songs just aren't as catchy as on WAR BIRTH. Over all, I'd say THE WORLD is a decent modern punk album. It's even better when the songs are live!!

5.0 out of 5 stars OLD SCHOOL MEETS NEW SCHOOL!, June 28, 1999
By A Customer
This is simple if you like PUNK ROCK buy it! Duane Peters and the band have a lot of credibility in there lyrics and music that i feel are lacking in alot of the new radio friendly PUNK of the ninetys..

4.0 out of 5 stars Good solid punk rock album
This album is definetly worth checking out if you like bands like Screeching Weasel, Nofx, or the Street Brats. It is kind of a pop/street punk hybrid. Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars Pretty dull.
Most of the songs on this album sound almost exactly the same. Also, most of the songs sound like a lame attempt to rip of the Clash and other early British punk bands. Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars One Of The Best Hellcat Albums Yet
This album is in no way supirior to War Birth, but it does hold it's own. Each song is better than the last and is written and sung as only Duane could do it. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars not too shabby
Personally, I thought this album rocked. I read some of the other reviews, and they said it wasn't as good as War Birth, and I can't say that I disagree with them. Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars NOT nearly as good as War Birth
I was dissapointed by this Lp. War Birth is a really good album and I held out alot of hope for this Lp, but it just doesn't quite do it for me. Read more

IMHO, this is their best album. The songs are top notch as usual, with great lyrics and excellent punk vocals. Read more
