This imaginative budget collection brings together massive radio hits by the Human League, Spandau Ballet, and the Thompson Twins, and complements them with singles much less well known stateside. The Jam's "Bitterest Pill" is one of Paul Weller's most convincing forays into true soul music, while the Teardrop Explodes reached their full swoon potential with "Passionate Friend." Annie Lennox fans will be curious to hear the Lover Speaks' original version of her hit "No More 'I Love Yous.'" Finally, can even the most happily betrothed survivor of the skinny-tie period refrain from empathizing when ABC's Martin Fry murmurs yearningly through the spoken bit of "The Look of Love"? --Rickey Wright

This budget title may appear to be just the same old single versions of new wave songs on first glance, but look closer. No where else will you find "No More I Love You's" by Lovers Speak unless you shell out a fortune for the out-of-print CD. Also, "A Good Heart" by feargal sharkey was hard to come by for a while, as well as the Aztec Camera. For even just a handful of rare treats, this disc is worth it for the price of a CD single.

Fly back to the 80's to listen to some not so well known titles by memorable alternative/new wave bands. Enjoy inspired lyrics in Human League's "Human". Be introduced to Aztec Camera, a prime 80's British band, with its hit single "Somwhere in my Heart". A good collection of pieces not easy to find.
