Players compete to bring out their combatant cards to the table, and power them up for battle with energy cards. Whoever wins the game is the champion Pokémon trainer! I had gotten this deck way back when it first came out, 1999 I believe? 1998? Somewhere around there. It was very exciting to me & I took it over my friend`s house for us to test it out & learn how to play it. She beat me every time, I lost just about every game I played, even with the new decks that came out. But oh well, even though I always loose, I still had fun.

I do not reccomend this for children under the age of 10.
