Kermit the Frog sang, "It's not easy being green," but Nickelodeon's easygoing turtle Franklin finds it's very acceptable in this video consisting of two cartoons. In the title episode, Franklin considers what would make a good donation to the annual Christmas toy drive. He has a lot of opportunities, from a broken-down truck to his prized puppets. In "Franklin and Granny's Attic," our curious amphibian is disgruntled that he has to spend the day at Granny's. He soon discovers that grandma can be as active as his childhood friends. One of the keys to
Franklin's success is that it only tries to teach one lesson--and gently so--at a time. (Ages 3-6)

Episode One - Franklin's Christmas Gift
It's Christmas time and Franklin and his friends all agree to contribute a "gently used" toy of their own to a needy child. However, Franklin finds out that, for one reason or another, he can't part with any of his toys and settles on a rusty old broken toy truck.
Episode Two - Franklin's Granny
Franklin would rather spend a day playing with his friends than helping his Granny clean her attic. After all, Grannies are not fun. They don't know anything about flying a kite or throwing a baseball. However, as they go through Granny's old trunks and photos, Franklin discovers that Grannies can be fun friends too.
