Bajo El Azul de Tu Misterio is amazing! Saul Hernandez and his band Jaguares finally have released their long awaited second album. This is a real treat for many of the die hard Caifanes/Jaguares fans! However it is a treat for any music fan as well. The first CD is a live "gift" to the fans. As Caifanes, they never released a live album like many bands do. This live CD gives fans a dose of Caifanes/Jaguares in concert. Simply amazing! Going to see the band in concert is like going to a ritual. The gothic overtones mixed with pre-Hispanic visions and sounds make the experience something magical. Saul Hernandez despite the trouble he's had with his vocal chords (he's had several operations) still captivates anyone. The second CD is the studio album and it shows Saul's constant evolution as a songwriter. While many of the older fans don't like this album, it is a success. Saul has gone through several changes in his life. He's become a husband and father and he basically has matured. This album is a lot "happier" but does not lose the gothic feel to it. Songs like FIN and MANTARRAYA show the beautiful essence of his poetry. The inclusion of a symphony adds to his evolution as a musician and gives this album an even more magical aura! A song that particularly stands out is NO ME CULPES which ends the album with a bang. The title for this album and theme is a direct reference to when Saul was scuba diving in the Pacific Ocean and he came to the Continental shelf and saw the vastness of the deep. That is what one hears with this album, the vastness of Saul's poetry and how deep it can get within one's consciousness. A must for any music lover.

I truly recommend this CD, not only because I'm a hardcore Jaguares fan, but because it is a great production. This CD is filled with the ocean's feeling. Every song has a aqueous tone and it's really very different to the other CD's that they've produced.

There are no words to describe the music Saul Hernandez composes. He is truly a genius. You'll love every single song in this cd. Bajo El Azul De Tu Misterio deserved the Grammy. THESE ARE REAL ARTISTS. They are EXCELLENT! Their songs are full of passion. It's not only a rock album but a classical one too. Gracias Raza.
