Editorial Reviews

From the Label
KEVIN RICHARD - INVENTING FIRE

Canadian artist Kevin Richard cites a number of influences for his music, from The Beatles to Motown & many points beyond. What we're treated to here is Kevin's interesting take on instrumental guitar driven music, which takes in the sounds of many eras of music, but primarily reminds me most of mid-80s soft rock.

A prime example of this would be "Campfire Glances", the second track in, but on other songs here, such as "Bonsai Garden" & "Illumination", there's much more of a trancey feel to the sound. Production is excellent & a lot of work has gone into making sure the listener gets the optimum experience.

While this will mostly interest listeners of mmusic such as guitarists such as Joe Satriani or other somewhat softer sounding artists, there's also quite a diverse bunch of tunes here to take you on other journeys as well.

Product Description
The latest release from Canadian Instrumental Rock composer Kevin Richard is a melodic journey of "aural alchemy". It has been called "visual and cinematic in scope yet very melodic and listener-friendly". Fans of Mike Oldfield, Tangerine Dream, Jan Hammer, Kitaro and David Arkenstone will love this CD and this artist.
